Tom Tom Magazine

A few years ago, I went to an awesome camp called "Willie Mae Rock Camp for Girls." It was one of the best experiences of my life! Being surrounded by people who love drumming too, and NOT being the only girl there! It was all girls!! haha. One of my drumming instructors was Mindy Abovitz. Her and some other female drummers got a magazine together called Tom Tom Magazine! Help support female drummers! We can be just as good as guys can be!! The first year I went to Willie Mae, my band was called The Blue Stars. Our song was called Sonic Boom. The second year I went, My band was called The Petrified Toenails!!! We ended up on the cover of a German magazine, with the WHOLE two middle pages devoted to our band and alone, I ended up on WNYC radio. Click Here for the link to the article.
